A Buzz Of Gratitude

You really and sincerely will never appreciate the blessings and the bounties of Allaah on you until you see someone who's lacking in them.

And I ask, is there anyone of us who will step out of his room and see not someone who his lacking in something which Allaah has given us?

Why should Allaah chastise you if you have thanked (Him) and have believed in Him? And Allaah is Ever All-Appreciative (of good) All-Knowing-Qur'an 6:147

Amazingly Allaah says: "Yaaa ayyuhaan Naas uzkuru ni'matal Allaahi 'alaykum-O mankind! Remember the Grace of Allaah upon you! Is there any creator other than Allaah who provides for you from the sky (rain) and the earth La ilaha illa Huwa. How then are you turning away (from him)-Qur'an 35: 3

Before you open your mouth to complain, please remember that Allaah has blessed you with sanity and that's why you can even think.

If you are complaining of sickness, then remember some are so sick that they cannot even open their mouths to complain.

If you think you are not rich enough, then look around your family and see how many of your relatives cannot afford what Allaah has made easy for you to afford.

If you are complaining of a car that has got no AC, then look through that window and see men, women and children drowning in their perspiration as a result of trekking and the intense sun's heat.

There's a difference between complaining to Allaah and complaining about Allaah. As Muslims, we complain to Allaah.

If you think you are suffering others have suffered worse.

You are still complaining, wallaah some are willing to sacrifice their whole just to be able to recite the Qur'an but here you are reciting it as smooth as possible.

And if you would count the Favors of Allaah, never could you be able to count them. Truly, Allaah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful-Qur'an 16:18

And (remember) when your Lord proclaimed: "If you give thanks, I will give you more (of My Blessings); but if you are thankless, verily, My punishment is indeed severe. Qur'an 14:7

The recipe for more (which though is the desire of every man) lies exclusively in appreciating Allaah's Blessings upon us.

We are under a justifiable obligation to show gratitude to Allaah for His infinite mercy upon us. Allaah has done marvelous. Just look at yourself and see how generous Allaah has been to you.

Showing gratitude transcends beyond just saying 'Alhamdulillaah', we have to show it through deeds that are authorized by Allaah.

He is not grateful, who uses his eyes to watch pornographic movies and pictures. Can't he relate with the blind ones he sees around him?

He is not grateful, who uses his hears to listen to pastimes (Music), obscenity, backbiting, mockery of Allah's Kalaam. Can't he see the deaf?

He is not grateful, who uses his tongue to lie, deceive, curse, insult, utter flirtatious statements, backbite. Can't he see the dumb?

He is not grateful, who uses his legs to walk into pubs, clubs, brothels, and any haram place and gathering. Can't he see the crippled ones?

He is not grateful, who uses his hand to steal (either as a highway robber or an official in the office), touch a non-mahrem, smokes, drinks. Can't he see the leper?

Show some gratitude and my Allaah will make your life a living miracle.

We pray Allaah infuse within our bosom, the true virtue of pious servants
