Episode 3: keeping Up With the Sahaba (RA)

The Unbreakbale Marital Chain

Did you know that the Prophet (Pbuh) married the daughters of his two best friends AbuBakr's (RA) and Umar's (RA)?

Aisha (RA) and Hafsah (RA)?

Did you know the Uthman bin Affan (RA) married the two daughters of Rasulullah (Pbuh), second after the death of the first?

Ruqayyah bint Rasulullah (RA) and Ummul Kulthum bint Rasulullaah (RA)?

You all know that Ali (RA) married the daughter of Rasulullaah (Pbuh)!!!

Fatimah bint Rasulullaah (RA)…

Did you know that Rasulullaah (Pbuh) said: "Every connection and relation shall be severed on the day of Qiyamaah except my connection and my relations."? 

Did you know that this statement of Rasulullaah (Pbuh) was a motivation for Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA) to marry Ummul Kulthum (RA) the daughter of Ali bin Abi Talib (RA)?

Lessons:

The relationship between Rasulullaah Muhammad bin Abdullah (Pbuh) and his companions especially the four rightly guided Khalifs (AbuBakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali) is beyond words, a very strong one rubber stamped by Allaah. Hence, there cannot be an iota of doubt in the legitimacy of the Eeman of these companions.

Loving them means loving Rasulullah (Pbuh) and hating and antagonizing anyone of them means hating and antagonizing Rasulullah (Pbuh)..

The four rightly guided Khalifs might have their differences because they were humans and were not exempted from human mistakes but their hearts were clean and their gaze was Akhira (Paradise.)

From the marriage chain presented above, it can be deduced that there was no love lost between the Prophet (Pbuh) and his eminent Sahabah and that the four rightly guided Khalifs had love and respect for one another which of course we should also emulate.

DO NOT INSULT ANY OF THE COMPANIONS OF RASULULLAAH (PBUH) AND DO NOT SEEK TO PROBE THE WISDOM OF ALLAAH BEHIND THE FEW SKIRMISHES THAT HAPPENED BETWEEN THE COMPANIONS (RA) THEREBY TAKEN SIDES AND INSULTING THEM.

May Allaah unite us with our most beloved Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) and his honorable companions (RA) in Jannatul Firdaus.
