Reliance Upon Allaah: The Forgotten Emergency!

In the Name of Allaah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

I start with an amazing statement of Allaah in His flawless Book (Qur'an). He says: "And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty).

And He will provide for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allaah, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allaah will accomplish His purpose. Indeed Allaah has set a measure for all things." Surah At-Talaq verses 2-3.

What did the giant Abdullaah ibn Mas'ud (RA) say about the above Ayah? He said: " (It is) the greatest Ayah in the Qur'an that contains relief." Ibn Abi Hatim recorded it as found in ibn Katheer.

I often say that the greatest weakness of man is 'DOUBT'. What Allaah wills happens when Allaah wants it, how Allaah wants it and no level of urgency of our demands will compel Allaah to advance what He has naturally delayed nor delay what He has naturally advanced.

If there's anything that Allaah loves to hear from us then it has to be our consistency and perseverance while making supplication to Him.

The famous hadith of ibn Abbas recorded in the Musnad of Imam Ahmad and the Sunan of At-Tirmidhi is a demonstration of the element of how far the fear of and reliance upon Allaah will propel man to felicity.

Rasulullaah (Pbuh) said to him: "Be mindful of Allaah and He will protect you. Be mindful of Allaah and He will protect you, be mindful of Allaah and He will be by your side. If you ask, ask Allaah, and if you seek help, seek it from Allaah, know that if the Ummah gather their strength to bring you benefit, they will never bring you benefit, except that which Allaah has decreed for you. Know that of they gather their strength to harm you, they will never harm you, except that which Allaah has decreed against you. The pens have been raised and the pages are dry...."

Any person that can demonstrate the type of absolute reliance upon the Help of Allaah as did Prophet Musa (AS) when the most hostile force of Pharaoh pursued him and those who believed in him will surely be provided with an everlasting solution out of every difficulty.

"And when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa said: " We are sure to be overtaken." (Musa) said: " Nay, verily with me is my Lord. He will guide me." Q26:62

Standing in front of an overwhelming ocean on one side and the most hostile enemy sure to defeat them on the other side what would have saved them other than reliance upon Allaah.

He trusted in Allaah and within the shortest period you can imagine, Allaah made an inroad for him through an ocean.

You think you are faced with life challenges, try trusting in Allaah and see how amazingly Allaah will make you excel out of every difficulty.

Allaah hasn't told us when what He has decreed for or against us will occur hence the concept of delay in the acceptance of our dua when we are in difficulty is a man-made concept because in reality when the time for a thing to happen clicks there's no force in the entire universe that can challenge the Decree of Allaah.

Fear Allaah, depend on Him and never be tired of asking Him, because Allaah is never tired of listening to us and fulfilling our legitimate needs for us.

Don't complain when your dua hasn't been answered yet it might just be a few seconds away...

May Allaah include us among those that fear Him at all times and likewise depend solely on Him so that for us will be an exit route out of every difficulty.
