Lessons From Surah Al-Kahf

In the Name of Allaah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. 

Allaah says: "And (remember) the Day We shall cause the mountains to pass away (like clouds of dust), and you will see the earth as a levelled plain (absolutely flat), and We shall gather then all together so as to leave not one of them behind." Q18:47

Allaah is informing us about the inevitable terror and the horrific nature of the Day of Resurrection. The mountains will be pulverized and become scattered dust. 

The earth will be levelled to its maximum with no curves nor valleys. If you were to stand in Africa (though vanished) you will see Europe in a clear horizon.

All the skyscrapers, the beautiful mansions and lushful gardens of this world will perish. No single tree will be left in the world.

Allaah will gather the first and the last of us and none will be left behind for the drive that Day is to Allaah.

The Fulani herdsmen no matter how diligent they are in controlling their cattle, you'll always find a stray one left behind. This is not going to be the case when Allaah gathers us on the plains of Hashr.

Allaah says: "And they will be set before your Lord in (lines as) rows, (and Allaah will say): "Now indeed, you have come to Us as We created you the first. Nay, but you thought that We had appointed no Meeting for you (with Us)." Q18:48

Man will stand in front of Allaah and he will be rebuked for denying the occurrence of the Day of Judgement. Some deny it verbally while others deny it through their actions. He who repulses the orphan harshly and urges not on the feeding of Al-Miskeen (the needy) has denied the Hereafter with reference to Suratul Ma'un Q107.

And Allaah says: "And the Book (one's Record) will be placed (in the right hand for a believer in the Oneness of Allaah, and in the left hand for a disbeliever in the Oneness of Allaah), and you will see the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners) fearful of that which is (recorded) therein. They will say: " Woe to us! What sort of Book is this that leaves neither small thing nor a big thing, but has recorded it with numbers!" And they will find all that they did, placed before them, and your Lord treats no one with injustice." Q18:49

This we can't escape....all the secrets of men hidden in their hearts will be exposed. Rasulullaah (Pbuh) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, for every traitor a banner will be erected by his backside, and it will be said, "This is the betrayer of so-and-so the son of so-and-so." as was recorded by both Bukhari and Msulim.

Here this out! ALL OUR DEEDS WILL BE EXPOSED....the hidden and the apparent; the small and the big and that is very easy for Allaah.

Brothers and sisters in Islam as you read Surah Al-Khaf today, remember to internalize these lessons so that you don't just flip through the pages but you also assimilate with the pages.

May Allaah privilege us with beneficial knowledge and honor us with Jannatul Firdaus.
